Dropping in for morning minyan is a great way to get a taste of the Ohel Minyan!
We meet in the Water Building (237 Prospect St.) Monday through Friday mornings at 8:15 AM, Sundays and Federal holidays at 9:00 AM. Morning minyan usually runs 35 minutes on days without Torah reading (most Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and about 45 minutes on days with Torah reading (usually Mondays and Thursdays). Check out our FAQ section if you want to know more about our services.
Note: Rosh Hodesh davening is organized by CBI. When Rosh Hodesh falls on a weekday, morning minyan meets in the CBI sanctuary starting at 8:00 AM. When Rosh Hodesh falls on a Sunday, morning minyan begins at 9:00 AM in the CBI sanctuary.
The Ohel Minyan meets for Kabbalat Shabbat services, Shabbat morning, and holiday morning davening approximately once a month. Kabbalat Shabbat services are followed by a catered Shabbat meal (by preregistration) with bentshing and singing.

The Ohel Minyan is participatory and entirely lay-led. If you would like to be a shaliach tzibbur at the Ohel Minyan, please click here to familiarize yourself with our davening minhagim (customs).
We read Torah on Monday and Thursday mornings, and at any Shabbat morning or mincha service we hold.
The Ohel Minyan welcomes novice as well as experienced leyners (Torah readers). In fact, a number of people have learned to leyn through their involvement with the Ohel Minyan. Our leyning coordinator, Sam Grossman, can match you with just the right size Torah reading for your capacity and your schedule. Contact Sam to find out more and/or sign up. You can find and join the Ohel Leyners WhatsApp group here.
Here is what the gabbai rishon and the gabbai sheni do. If you are comfortable serving as a gabbai for Torah reading, let us know!
